RESERVATION

The reservation is completed at the time of the payment of the deposit, which must be paid in Euros (net of payment/change charges) by bank transfer.The rest of the price must be paid in cash (or by bank transfer) on the first day of lessons.

 

CANCELLATION

Lessons reserved but not attended can't be refunded in any case. The student willing to cancel the reservation should immediately contact the school (by e-mail). If the cancellation is made more than 30 days from the beginning date of the course, a 25% deduction will be made on the deposit. If the cancellation is made more than 15 days from the beginning date of the course, the 50 % will be deduced. If the cancellation is made less than 15 days from the beginning date of the course, no refund is possible.

 

ACCOMMODATION

The school helps the students to find suitable accommodation. Anyway, the school can't be in any case considered responsible for the following relationship between students and accommodation owners, for damages (for the owner, the guest or third parties) directly or indirectly occurred because of the rental relations, nor in case of material or immaterial damages produced by the utilization of the building. The student must feel free to fully enjoy the accommodation, but also take care of the place and give it back in the same conditions as he/she has received it, with sense of respect also for the following guest: any lack or damage caused by the student must be compensated and cleaning service expenses -in case it should be necessary- will be charged to the student. A €80 deposit will be requested, when the student receives the keys, and will be given back at the departure, when these rules common sense rules are respected; in case of damage o if the apartment is not clean, the deposit won't be refunded. In shared apartments, everyone must obviously keep the accommodation clean and in order, respecting the same right of all mates to enjoy the apartment. Sheets and towels are not included in the price but if the student wishes they can be rented during the stay.

 

DAMAGE OF THINGS OR PEOPLE

The school is not responsible for any damage occurred to things or people during the stay, neither during the lessons nor out of the school or in accommodation or during extra-curricular activities. The students willing to have full guarantees, can easily buy a temporary insurance policy before to holiday.

 

HEALTH SERVICE

Students from European Union don't need a visa. They are advised to fill out the E111 form, available at the offices of the National Health Service of their country: that operation is very easy and grants full and free health service during the stay in Italy . Students from other countries are advised to obtain a private temporary insurance policy before to leave. For longer stays, the normally need a visa: they should contact the nearest italian Embassy, Consulate or Italian Cultural Institute, for information about the procedure: the school sends them the certificate of registration immediately, if it can helps to obtain the visa.

 

COURSES ATTENDED BY LESS THAN 3 STUDENTS

The school could decide to change (even last minute, before or after the starting date of the course) the program of a course if less than 3 students of the same level join it:

-if two students are attending the course, they receive more intensive lessons, but for a 75% of the hours of lesson expected;

-if only one student is in the course, he/she receives personalized tuitions, but for a 50% of the hours foreseen.

The reduction is also a compensation for greater and more personalized assistance every student receive by the teacher.

 

CLASS TIMES

Lessons take place in the morning or in the afternoon. The schedule is normally decided on the week before the courses. Anyway, for technical or logistic reasons, last minute changes are possible.

 

HOLIDAYS

The school is closed on international and italian national holidays (1,6/Jan; 18,25/Apr; 1/May; 15/Aug; 1/Nov; 25-26/Dec). Anyway, the days-off could be spent for extra-curricular activities.

 

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

To partecipate in the activities (about 3 hours per week) it's necessary to attend lessons for at least 10 hours per week. Activities are organized by Studitalia absolutely for free and the participation is free and optional; individual expenses, like bus tickets or entrance tickets for archaeological sites, for boat trips in the marin parks, bill at the restaurant, etc. are not included and the responsibility for one's own person during escursions, trips, etc. is fully individual and out of Studitalia responsibility. Organization, tourist guidance and conversation activity is offered by Studitalia for free.
